Give us “LIBERTY” or give us death…

It was just back last October that we were busy prepping for our record release concert to celebrate our new album ‘The Rise and Fall of Babylon’. I remember us sitting there in the rehearsal room putting the show together. We were very excited as we would be performing at the world famous Viper Room on the Sunset Strip in Hollywood.

We were assembling what songs would be part of the set for that evening. We thought of some pretty cool covers to do that evening, we chose Led Zeppelin’s – “The Immigrant Song” and U2’s – “Bullet The Blue Sky”.  We were super stoked about performing those classics as well as our new songs from the record, but we felt like something was just still missing to make the show complete.

Anyway… We decided that we had to come up with a brand new song for the show. We’ve always prided ourselves as a band with making our shows a bit different each time we performed particularly in front of our hometown crowd. For those of you who don’t know, Hollywood crowds are incredibly finicky and hard to please.

Eric, our lead vocalist said that he had an idea for a new song he was working on recently and thought it would be perfect for the show. There was this underlying theme just with the cover songs that we had chosen to do. The title of our album ‘The Rise and Fall of Babylon’ was partly about everything that has been going on in the world from our new government after the recent elections as well as what is happening around the globe with oppression and people not having a voice, etc.

The title of the song is called “Liberty” we thought this would be particularly fitting for the times in which we are currently living in. We had this cool idea to get the crowd singing this chant back to us during the choruses of the song and it turned better than we ever thought.

The track is not currently available for sale but as a THANK YOU for being one of our subscribers we want to give it to you for free – no strings attached.

Download the live version of our new unreleased track Liberty recorded live from the world famous Viper Room in Hollywood here.

If you like the track you might also consider checking out The Rise and Fall of Babylon. It’s our latest album and it’s full of excellent Rock tracks that we like to think would make even the toughest crowd take notice.

Talk soon,

DOB

I read about you doing cover versions of songs. And I have an idea for you. Cover the song” It’s My Life “by Bon Jovi. Just make it a little heavier. I think you should do well. At least I’d love to hear it.:)

That would be awesome! We’ve been wanting to do a cover series of videos of some of our favorites. We will definitely keep this one in mind. Thanks for your suggestions. Cheers DOB
